Poker Hand Rankings Explained
In order to win at poker, players need to have the highest hand of cards at the showdown stage of the game. Specific card combinations are given value so that they can be compared against one another. This is simply a case of ‘what beats what’ at the end of the poker game. As cards are compared, the players with the highest ranking combinations win the prize pot.

Poker hands are ranked as follows, from highest to lowest:
